We were not put on this planet to work.

Not in the way we do now ~ burning daylight for someone else’s dream, trading our bodies for benefits, and calling that a life.

Somewhere along the way, politicians and preachers choreographed a strange little dance ~ a fast, synchronized shuffle that keeps everyone too dizzy to notice the floor is collapsing. They call it “purpose.” They call it “productivity.” But if you listen closely, it’s just the sound of people running away from their own souls.

We were meant to move, yes. To tend, to build, to love, to feed each other. But not like this ~ not under the fluorescent hum of a system that mistakes exhaustion for virtue.

Humans were built to breathe between tasks.

To nap in the sun.

To follow the rhythm of their bones and the pulse of the seasons.

But now? Now we chase clocks instead of clouds. We serve systems that would collapse if we ever stopped spinning. The irony is ~ if we all sat down and took a breath at once, quietly, the world might actually heal.

The truth is ancient and inconvenient:

We are not here to make money.

We are here to make meaning.

And the faster the world moves, the more radical it becomes to be still.

So if you find yourself tired, unsure, or off-beat ~ maybe that’s not a flaw. Maybe you finally stopped dancing to a song that was never yours.
