Let’s call it out: Boomers have a vested interest in keeping Gen X and Millennials “in place.” Every time we start to question the system ~ student loans, housing markets, climate collapse ~ they hit us with the blink test:

“You’re just overreacting. Stop being so sensitive. We had it harder.”

That’s textbook gaslighting. Convince us our reality is wrong, so we stay quiet, compliant, and working to hold up their version of the American Dream ~ even as it crumbles under our feet.

The kicker? They thought we’d stay hooked forever. Blink, obey, reset.

But here’s the plot twist: We’re not blinking anymore. We grew up on too many fucking video games. That means we understand systems, patterns, cheat codes, and when the rules are rigged. We know when the bosses are unbeatable and when it’s time to walk away from a broken console.

So no, we’re not going to be manipulated into playing the same old game. Not when we’ve got entire new worlds to build.
